The Boston Tea Party was a (traditionally believed) response to the British tea tax. The Tea Party itself taxed nothing.
no they did not have any thing to do with it
After a bit of research, I cannot find anything but my origional idea about your cotton party. The only thing I can think of that you might be refering to is the Boston Tea Party. The tea party happened December 16, 1773.
Tea.
The British government began taxing the colonies to raise money. One thing they taxed was tea that was imported. The people of Massachusetts colony did not like this because they were unable to vote in Parliamentary elections- so-called "taxation without representation". So they disguised themselves as Indians and boarded some ships in the Boston harbor and destroyed the tea and dumped it into the harbor. They called this the "Boston Tea Party". I think this eventually lead to the colonies swith from drinking tea to drinking coffee. also the intolerable act happened
proud of their country and hate for the king. they felt like they had done the right thing.
They weren't linked. The only thing is they both happened in Boston and were years apart. The Boston Massacre was spun by Paul Revere in hand bills to create distrust between the colonies and the British. The events we think we know for the massacre and the tea party are NOT what really happened. Watch the history channel program on the Boston Massacre in the series unknown history.
Samuel Adams was a great leader during the revolution. He had the ability to convince colonist to join the sons of liberty. He also was the biggest voice behind the Boston tea party.
When looking for party supplies you can check different party supply stores. Party city is one of the more popular stores that sell Redsox logo party streamers. If you can not find them at a party supply store, they may not have them available. The next best thing would be to use color streamers of the Boston Redsox, which would be red and blue, like a navy blue.
Other names for a farewell party are bon voyage party and going away party. Other names can be used too that denote the type of thing the person leaving is going to do, like moving party.
A party is a thing. Where the party is happening would be the place.
Yes there is. The Boston Tea Party took place in Boston, MA. In the Boston Harbour. During the time when England taxed the citizens of the US on tea. And the people did not like that one bit so they boarded every tea vessels and dumped the tea into the harbour. Yes, many historians believe that the Boston Tea Party took place on Griffin's Wharf, which no longer exists, but which was on Boston Harbor. The Intercontinental Hotel Boston occupies that general spot now, and you can see a plaque commemorating the event on the north side of the parking lot next to the hotel. It's located at 510 Atlantic Ave.
The stamp and sugar act happened because the british were taxing the colonists on little things such as stamp and sugar. The colonists, of course, protested. This lead to the Boston Tea Party.
