Anybody sensible has "a fear of war" . War is terrifying, destructive and decidedly unpleasant. Britain certainly never showed fear of war when they took on the 'mighty Luftwaffe' in the Battle of Britain and destroyed the Germans to the point where they cancelled their invasion plans.
