The French Revolution was well worth how it changed France's society today but I believe people pushed it little too far than they needed too. There was way too much blood shed than necessary.
it abolished serfdom and absolutism in France. It was horrible that so many people had to die but many people were willing to die and had signed up for this. it wasn't the people's fault that so many people had died during things like the terror. they actually learned from their mistakes and finally killed Robespierre who was the one who had ordered all of these people to the guillotine. Its like saying that it was the Germans fault for being influenced by Hitler. another thing that they had been trying to change was the representation in the national assembly. the 3rd estate was 97% of the population and since the clergy and nobility always sided together they were oppressed. all of those people who took the tennis court oath meant what they had said in they weren't going to stop until they got some better representation. another thing was that all of those starving women who raided the palace trying to get Marie Antoinette wouldn't have just wanted to kill her for no reason, she and her husband didn't know what was going on in their country, they hadn't paid any attention to their people. the signing of the rights of man and citizen didn't help them at all the war had already started and there was nothing to stop people who got the power they longed for. Bastille day is significant to the country of France because that started the most significant revolution ever. napoleon was on of the best rulers ever with his leadership abilities, knowledge (he was thought of as a genius), and his contributes to the military.
