Yes it was, they made one in 1962. It stars Gregory Peck as Atticus, Mary Badham as Scout, and Phillip Alford as Jem. It is a very good movie that follows the book well! Something interesting is that they had the option to put in in color, but they still chose to put in in black and white. It is a really fantastic movie. :)
