Sorry but not even close.
No colonist could go farther west than West Virginia and it made them very mad
The Proclamation of 1763 established a Proclamation Line along the Appalachians, which the colonists were not allowed to cross.
Proclamation of 1763
The Proclamation Line,1763
The American Colonists celebrated the end of the French and Indian War thinking they would finally have access to the rich lands west of the Appalachian Mountains. The Proclamation of 1763 stated that they wouldn't be allowed to settle there and the colonists were understandably resentful.

because it allowed the British to control the colonists movement and helped avoid conflict with the native Americans
After the Proclamation of 1763, the colonists in America were not allowed to cross territory west of the Appalachian Mountains.
The Proclamation of 1763 alarmed the colonists for a couple of reasons. For one thing, they thought the British were trying to keep them in one place to control them. Secondly, they had been looking forward to moving west after the French and Indian War and this act meant they weren't allowed to move west of the Appalachian Mountains.
it declared that the native Americans had to remain east of the Appalachians
It said that colonists are not allowed. Idk even knw if this makes sense or not but my teacher told me this so ya. Follow me on twitter @ sweet_tears
The American response to the proclamation of 1763 was "Britain can't tell us what to do!" and Americans settled east of the proclamation line anyways, despite the dangers.
Colonists with interests in western lands objected to the Proclamation for two reasons: first, it drew a boundary beyond which no settlements were allowed, and second, it allowed only the king to buy lands from the natives. Since there were already settlements west of the Appalachians, and since traders had bought land, the Proclamation caused difficulties for many people, and so it was protested loudly.
