no. i saw it on tv a couple of months ago, where a similar statue was also "crying blood". it is in reality not crying, but is fake blood that is pushed out of the "tearducts" by steam and hot air, using a series of pipes that were connected to a heated plate on the old statue that i saw. if you believe the statue is really crying, sorry to burst your bubble, or if you just wanted to know, well there is your answer.
PS a lot of other statues were used in this way by the church, to make the person believe. a statue seemed to ride out on thin air above the churchgoers head when the sun set. it was just hot air and glass. the doors of another church opened by themselves to let the people in. again, just a LOT of hot air forced through tubes. (sigh) it seems people will do anything to get attention.....
When this happens it is sometimes a miracle from God proving His existence and usually asking for an increase in penance for reparations. However, some poor misguided souls will try and make hoaxes of this phenomenon.
