The Stone Age most likely came before or during, not after, the existence of Adam and Eve. It may be dated over a 5,000 year period. It started around 8000 B.C.E., and ran until about 3000 B.C.E.

So according to some dating methods, the Stone Age overlapped with the lifetimes of Adam and Eve. One dating method that would lead to such conclusions was that by James Us[s]her [January 4, 1581-March 21, 1656]. Usher identified the Creation as having happened on the night before October 23, 4004 B.C.E. By that standard, Adam and Eve were born after the Stone Age began.

But Us[s]her's dates have been subjected to critical scrutiny based on subsequent scientific advances and discoveries. As a result, experts tend to see the 41st century B.C.E. as too recent of a date for the time during which Adam and Eve were on earth. Instead, expert opinion tends towards a much earlier date, before the Stone Age. Such a date seems to agree with the information that's available through the book of Genesis. For nowhere is there any indication that Adam and Eve knew about or made use of any tools.
