In the cartoon a Smurf's sexuality is never confirmed or denied. (or mentioned at all for that matter) Seeing as there is only one female smurf (smurfette) you can only assume that they reproduce asexualy with a rate of female smurfs being less than 1%. (so I'm saying if they do have intercorse there is either a very long line or there is some homosexuality being practiced)

While The Smurfs, from the popular cartoon series, did not explicitly address a character's sexual orientation, there was a purple smurf named Vanity who was sometimes interpreted as being gender non-conforming or having effeminate qualities. However, the show did not openly portray any character as gay.
