No. If you were a slave, you would stay a slave your whole life. You could work really hard however and maybe become a house servant. The only real slaves that could eventually work their way out of their slavery, were indentured servants.

Or some really nice white guy from down the county would meet you, fall in love, make the BABIEZ, and buy your freedom.
