I have not learned anything unusual regarding the birth of Thomas Jefferson, but his death was interesting. He died the same day as John Adams, the President he served under as Vice President and his opponent in the presidential elections of 1796 and 1800. The last words of John Adams before he passed away at the age of 90 were "Jefferson lives," unaware that Jefferson had died just a few hours earlier. Both men died on the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
