In the time before slavery, there were no African-Americans.
Because the South had African American Slaves, and they worried that Freed African Americans with guns might start a revolt, similar to Nat Turners rebellion which resulted in the deaths of a lot of people who kept slaves.
African Americans were prohibited to vote until 1865. In this year, the thirteenth, fourteenth and fifteenth amendments to the United States Constitution were made. This enabled African Americans to have freedom, become citizens and vote.
There are a number of factors that contribute to racial hatred and the resulting racial discrimination. Fundamentally, people are selfish, and that selfishness extends to the groups to which they belong; people therefore want to obtain advantages for their own ethnic group (such as European Americans) at the expense of other ethnic groups (such as African Americans, Asian Americans, Native Americans, Mexican Americans, etc.). Added to that is the ugly history of slavery in America. Rather than admit that slavery had been a monstrously immoral practice, many people have tried to convince themselves that it is correct to treat people with darker skin as if they were domestic animals rather than human beings. That way, slave owners, and the culture that they created, have nothing to apologize for. Also it should be noted that even after the legal end of slavery in America, various other ways were found to enslave African Americans, who were often found guilty, by white judges and juries, of imaginary crimes, and who were then sentenced to hard labor, in effect to be used as slaves. It was therefore possible for white people to force black people to work for them without being paid, doing work that white people preferred not to do. This appealed to the selfishness of those who perpetuated racist societies.
We are all black and we were never accepted to anything in the 1800's. And white people hated us.

African Americans
Many African Americans were returned to a state of slavery. Southern states and private businesses use convict-leasing to force prisoners to work and then make profits off of their unpaid or underpaid labor.
he belived in equalness of the people and too end slavery
It is because of the world war1 with African-American history when he freed the black people from slavery
No, not all white people believed in slavery. There were white individuals who were against slavery and fought for its abolition. Additionally, there were free African Americans and indigenous peoples who also opposed slavery.
Before the Civil War, some free African Americans owned slaves and a few also employed white people.
they wanted slavery to end
Slavery devoloped in Georgia because the people in Georgia needed more farmers, so they borrowed enslaved African Americans from South Carolina. Then increased the number of slaves in Georgia.
Free African Americans in the North were treated as inferior even after slavery. They had few rights and considered 3/5 human.
They were decided my how useful they were. Like what they can do. They weren't treated well (all of them). After, slavery was ended or in the process of ending in different states. African Americans then became regular people and were not biased anymore, like now.
The 13th Amendment abolished slavery. The 14th Amendment states that everyone born in the U.S. is an American citizen including African Americans. The 15th Amendment gives the right to vote to all people.
