Yes, their is modern day pirates now that usually jump on war ships and steal everything. Not pirates that you see in movies.

Why don't pirates have princesses?

In some stories there are tales of a "Pirate Queen" or "Pirate Princess". The fact of the matter was that pirates were almost strictly men. Very few women, if any - I can't think of any examples, were ever "pirates". They rarely were married, though they often had sex with prostitutes when they docked. A princess is a title given daughters of royalty. To gain such a title one would have to claim "royal blood", and then have a legitimate wife and daughter, and recognize that daughter. For that reason, "princesses" were nonexistent in the realm of pirates.

Will the Pittsburgh Pirates ever be good?
