I would refer to it as a mid-west region.
New Mexico, Oklahoma, lousiana, Arkansas
Ozark mountains are in the southern region of Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, and Arkansas
The Ouachita Mountains span West Arkansas and the South Eastern part of Oklahoma. There is a lot a tourist interest and the locals live as do most Americans do in the states of Oklahoma and Arkansas.
Arkansas is located in the southern region of the United States and it borders Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, and the Mississippi River. The US State of Arkansas is located north of Louisiana. It borders Oklahoma and Texas in the west, and Missouri to its north. Its eastern border is with Mississippi and Tennessee.
The southwest region, almost directly on the borderline of Arkansas and Oklahoma (Also known for being a part of the River Valley.)
Arkansas is in the Southern United States region.
Oklahoma is located in the south central region of the United States. It borders Texas to the south, Colorado and Kansas to the north, Missouri to the northeast, Arkansas to the east, and New Mexico to the west. It is considered to be in the Southwest region of the United States.
Yes, the Ozarks are primarily located in the south-central United States, spanning parts of Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. The Ouachita Mountains are also located in the south-central region, extending from western Arkansas into southeastern Oklahoma.
It covers the south half of Missouri The Ozarks are a physiographic, geologic, and cultural highland region of the central United States. It covers much of the south half of Missouri and an extensive portion of northwest and North central Arkansas. The region also extends westward into northeast Oklahoma and extreme southeast Kansas. An upland region of the south-central United States extending from southwest Missouri across northwest Arkansas into eastern Oklahoma.
I don't know about Oklahoma, but the job market is pretty good in Arkansas because of the number of large corporations that operate out of Arkansas, mainly the Northwest region. Wal-Mart (the world's largest global retailer), Tyson (the world's largest meat producing company), and JB Hunt (the largest publicly owned transportation/trucking company in North America) all have headquarters in NWA. The down economy actually helps Wal-Mart and Tyson because people who would normally shop at specialty stores or go out to eat are purchasing products from these companies instead.
No state is known as the Ozarks state. The Ozarks are a region in the United States, generally situated in Missouri, but also reaches into Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
