We have an old bible we are trying to find out it's age ostervald is named and the pictures say it was engraved for ostervald's bible by m brown Newcastle by the way the s's are shaped like f's info?

I checked on Google for that specific bible. One seller said it was pre- 1850, going for $96. Another had a copy dated 1791, which looks and sounds exactly as you describe it. The s's shaped like f's are just part of the old English "slang". If you look at the Declaration of Independence, the writing shows up the same way. Hope this helps!
