Fertilized pastures may require a "resting period" where it is inadvisable to graze livestock of any kind. This is especially true of chemical fertilizers. If the agent used to fertilize the grass is known you can research when it is safe to allow your horse to graze.
Each fertiliser you place on a field will have some guildelines about the time to keep livestock off the treated areas. the best people to ask about the length of time to keep off the grass would be the company that produces the fertiliser of the easiest person to contact would be the retailer. to be honest this is a question that should have been asked before the fertiliser was applied to the area. my paddocks do not have fertiliser added to them, instead once a year i get the harrows and place on the tractor and then thinly spread the manure over the fields that i am not wanting the use during the winter but i do want to keep and cut for hay. i am lucky that i am able to only use half my paddocks for grazing and keep the other half for hay cutting, rotating this each year and gaining enough hay to last me all winter and right through to the next harvest.
The Pampas.
The answer is 93 degrees and in rains only once or twice a year. It is still quite damp and it holds many small animals.
Areas outside of a city that are still affected by it.
Dry grasslands such as the prairies and savanna are marked by a limited or seasonal rainfall, which is one factor for the lack of trees (which may still predominate along existing streams and rivers). A wet grassland is a swamp such as the Everglades, where most of the land is covered by water for part of the year. This can impede tree growth because of the lack of a solid soil base, and because water can rot seeds and wood. Higher salinity can be another factor. Trees such as the mangrove are adapted to swamps in temperate climates, and grow on the borders of the sawgrass regions in Florida.
