- You should always stick with your first instinct about a person and this young man was flirting and not respecting you and good for you for breaking off with him! There is no need for you to be jealous (remember he flirts) and he will do the same thing to the girlfriend he has. Be thankful you are rid of him. Start going out with friends and dating again and one day you will meet the right young man you should be with and one that loves you for who you are.
