They both committed suicide, which sounds like an act of free will.
They both commited suicide due to realizing that they were losing the battle against Antony and Octavius at Phillipi. They are different because Cassius didn't neede to beg anyone to kill him his slave Pindarus had no trouble killing Cassius because it meant he was free from his rule and Cassius wouldn't be missed by most where as Brutus had to beg his soldiers to kill him because Brutus was an honorable man and prior to the speech of Antony at Caesar's funeral, was beloved by by the Romans.eventually the slave named Clitus allowed Brutus to run upon his sword.
At the final battle- as the forces of Brutus and Cassius go against the triumvirate of Octavius, Antony and Lepidus- Brutus sees and opening in the flank of Octavius' army and attacks. Though Brutus strikes a great blow against their opposition, the attack was so early and leaves Cassius' forces enclosed by Antony's army. As his camp is set ablaze in the distance, and army approaches. Cassius sends Titinius to check to see if the army is Brutus' or not. Messala watches as Titinius rides off on the distance, and reports to Brutus what appears to be Titinius being ran down on horseback. A cheer is heard in the distance, which is taken by Cassius as a celebratory sound from Antony's army that they have killed Titinius. Out of grief of sending one of his closest friends to his death, and by the apparent doom of the situation, Cassius has Messala run him through with the same blade he used to kill Caesar, setting his bondman free with his death. *** p.s. Brutus' flaw is his naivete because he easily trusts Cassius and the other conspirators. He also thinks that the conspirators are killing Caesar for the same reason as him (which is for the good of Rome).
Oedipus defies the will of the gods by trying to avoid his fate. Ironically, what he does to avoid his fate only leads him to complete it. It is more of a paradox than a conflict.
Cassius believes that men are in control of their own destinies and that they are not bound by fate or destiny. He argues that people have free will and should not be submissive or passive underlings to fate, but rather take control of their own lives and shape their own futures.
This quote is from the play "Julius Caesar" by William Shakespeare. In this line, Cassius is speaking to Brutus, trying to persuade him to join the conspiracy against Caesar. Cassius is telling Brutus that if he knows where he intends to use the dagger (symbolizing the act of killing Caesar), then Cassius will deliver the dagger to him and set him free from his shackles (metaphorically referring to the burden of Caesar's rule).

Cassius did In their long conversation which forms the bulk of Act I Scene 2 Cassius attempts to convince Brutus that Caesar is a threat to the traditional values of the Roman Republic. Cassius' main argument is simply that Caesar is an ordinary man: I had as lief not be as live to be In awe of such a thing as I myself. Cassius tells Brutus that Caesar sweats when he is ill, and that he does not swim as strongly as a younger man:- but the common people of Rome love him (and this is somehow dangerous): And this man Is now become a God, and Cassius is A wretched creature. None of the conspirators in the play have any substantial objection to Caesar, and Cassius is simply eaten up with envy. Caesar knows this, he says: Yond' Cassius has a lean and hungry look; He thinks too much, such men are dangerous. But Caesar is too proud to act on his suspicions. This is his weakness.
