They both commited suicide due to realizing that they were losing the battle against Antony and Octavius at Phillipi. They are different because Cassius didn't neede to beg anyone to kill him his slave Pindarus had no trouble killing Cassius because it meant he was free from his rule and Cassius wouldn't be missed by most where as Brutus had to beg his soldiers to kill him because Brutus was an honorable man and prior to the speech of Antony at Caesar's funeral, was beloved by by the Romans.eventually the slave named Clitus allowed Brutus to run upon his sword.

∙ 12y agoOkonkwo and Brutus are both tragic heroes - they are both revered and have an amazing quality and have the potential to be great leaders, but they both also have a tragic flaw that leads to their downfall. Okonkwo's tragic flaw is his fear - of resembling his father Unoka, of being considered feminine and of being weak (all resembling Unoka). Brutus' tragic flaw is his naivety because since he is naive he lets Antony live and then he lets Antony speak BY HIMSELF at Caesar's funeral. Brutus' naivety leads to the downfall of him and the rest of the novel. Okonkwo and Brutus from the play Julius Caesar are very similar.
