Jacob and Bella were best friends due to her separation from Edward in New Moon. Edward describe it as Bella "was bleeding, and Jacob helped stitch her up". Edward also recognizes that their friendship bond could never be broken, because of how Jacob helped Bella.
AFter Bella had Renesmee, she still platonically loved Jacob.
So, no. They just have a very deep bond.
