The pcv valve is the small hose connect to the intake between the air filter and the throttle body. Its pretty easy to find as it is the only other part attached to the intake hose.
The EGR valve on a Dodge Neon is located on the intake manifold. You will find the EGR valve by removing the air intake plenum, the air filter, the air filter housing, and flex hose that leads from the housing to the throttle valve.
It is in the air intake hose right were it comes out of the air filter box and starts going to the engine. The air intake hose is hooked to it and it is the same size as the hose is.
Air intake plenum.
On my filter, there are two connections arranged vertically. The top connection is the intake, the bottom the return.
on the driver side you have to remove the intake hose, follow the fuel line going to the fuel rail and you'll find it.
The only reference I can find in the manual calls it an "Air intake hose" I really thought the term "Duct" would have been appropriate, but that's just me.
ACTUALLY, IT'S NOT THAT DIFFICULT...FOLLOW THE AIR INTAKE TOWARD THE ENGINE WHERE YOU WILL FIND ANOTHER HOSE CLAMP. lOOSEN THE CLAMP AND REMOVE THE ELECTRICAL PLUP AND VACUUM HOSE. THIS WILL PROVIDE FOR ENOUGH ROOM TO CHANGE THE AIR FILTER.
Connects air filter and engine.
Disconnect the PCV fresh air inlet hose (crankcase breather hose) from the air intake duct remove the coupling also loosen the hose clamp at the throttle body end of the air intake duct and disconnect the duct from the throttle bodyLoosen the hose clamp at the air filter housing end of the air intake duct disconnect the intake duct from the filter housing and remove itDisconnect the electrical connector from the MAF sensorRemove the air filter housing retaining bolt and remove the filter housing. When you pull up on the air filter housing you will feel a slight resistance that's the locator pin and grommet on the underside of the filter housing.Grasp the filter housing firmly and lift it straight up and the grommet will disengage
It is built into the MASS AIR FLOW senser. If you look at the air filter box you will see it on the side of it right were the intake hose comes out off the air filter box and goes to the engine. The air intake hose is hooked to it.
For a 2002 MDX, there are four screws to remove the cover. Then remove the spring ring holding the intake hose. Remove the cover and replace the air filter. Replace the cover and screws and then reconnect the intake hose and spring ring.
