Otzi the Iceman was found in the Ötztal Alps on the border between Austria and Italy. Specifically, he was discovered in the Schnalstal glacier in the South Tyrol region of Italy.
The iceman was found in the Ötztal region of the Alps. The Alps is a vast mountain rage which covers most of Central Europe. Two German hikers, Erika and Helmut Simons, found him there. He was found in the oztean part of the alps. That is why they nicknamed him Otzi. His body is 5,000-5,300 years old and he died at approximately 35-40 years old.
In 1991, the remains of Ötzi the Iceman were discovered in a glacier in the Alps. Ötzi is a well-preserved natural mummy from around 3,300 BCE and provided valuable information about life during the Copper Age.
He is now located in Italy, he is now showing in a museum in theTyrolian village of Bozano
in 2005
