Is it a manual transmission or and automatic? Need to know. Auto the dipstick is to the back of the engine looking to the passenger side. Sometimes it will be a Red knob or Black. Manual trans don't have a dipstick just a plug on the side of the trans, about the middle of the trans half way up.
It is a 4L60E
That would be the 700R4 transmission
Yes as long as both trucks are a 1/2 ton are a 3/4 ton.
NO YOU CAN NOT. IF the 95 is a 1/2 Ton then it MUST have the 4L60E transmission put back in it. If it is a 3/4 ton then it MUST have the 4L80E put in it. This is due to the computer system that's in the truck.
IF it is a 1/2 ton truck then a 4l60E belongs in it from the factory. IF it is a 3/4 ton truck then a 4l80E was factory in it.
NO IT WILL NOT. You MUST put the 4L60E back in it due to the computer system. Are you will have all kinds of problems.
3500 series is a ton truck.
If it's a 1/2 ton----4L60E If it's a 3/4 ton----4L80E
If it is a 1/2 ton then it MUST have the 4L60E put in it. If it is a 3/4 ton then it MUST have the 4l80E put in it.

NO. The only 2 years that WILL bolt right up and work is 1996 and 1997 year transmissions. If the 96 is a 1/2 ton then it MUST have the 4L60E transmission put back in it. If it is a 3/4 ton then it MUST have the 4L80E transmission put back in it.
