well in one case, they ( walk below) or contort below- In Roltair"s Illusion when the coffin is closed and the lights go down low- smoke bomb often topsides, the Girl- and it is always a lovely girl in, usually an Empire Gown, contorts her body into the lower portion of the coffin, and then pushes back the trap door in the bier (coffin stand) which has been hollowed out, while doing this she pulls or hits a reliease flooding the casket with flowers, up to then invisible, then it is opened, the girl is underneath the coffin in this portion of the act. I had a devil of a time figuring this out. that is the secret, or part of it , of one disappearing or vanishing act- Roltair"s illusion, banned from Church carnivals over forty years!
