The Patriot is a white-washed version of a part of the American revolution. Benjamin Martin is actual a combination of some real mean and nasty dudes who were heroes in the Spanish Indian war; Thomas Sumter, Daniel Morgan, Andrew Pickens, and Francis Marion. These dudes were not nice. Supposedly, in real life, Francis Marion, a militia leader in South Carolina known as the "Swamp Fox." was "a serial rapist who hunted Red Indians for fun." Historian Christopher Hibbert said of Marion.
"The truth is that people like Marion committed atrocities as bad, if not worse, than those perpetrated by the British."
All of these people owned slaves and committed atrocities.

Yes. An unusually historically accurate movie, with great attention to those types of details. The uniforms may have looked a little better in the movie. The real soldiers had been serving for several months in the blistering, sweltering heat of coastal Carolina, so they were likely a little more faded and torn.
No, the movie was not an accurate portrayal of the events that happened in Gallipoli but rather a portrayal of the values and morals of the soldiers that fought in Gaillipoli.
he was an absolute patriot my children
Yes, William Wallace was a Scottish patriot who fought against the English. If you look simply at the main points of the story (movie), it's generally accurate. Once you start looking into detail (such as his relationship with the French princess, which did not happen) you'll find some inaccuracy.

No The Japanese never came onto Australian soil.
That is about the Marvel Thor, so most likely no.
I thought it was a good movie, but historically it is not true to history or the time. It is like a lot of the movies Gibson does. He likes to present his view of history whether it is accurate or not. As a historian this bothers me because people think it is real history rather than fiction.

The play 'A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum' is historically accurate, in the way that it is based on the comedies/farces of the ancient Roman playwright, Plautus.
It's a drama movie Not a documentery
The Great Gatsby movie is not entirely historically accurate as it takes creative liberties with the portrayal of characters and events. While it captures the essence of the Roaring Twenties, some details are exaggerated or glamorized for cinematic effect.
Most of the facts are historically accurate; however, many of the over-arching themes are not. For example, the movie leaves readers with the impression that the Africans were freed because the court determines them to be people, not property. In reality, the courts did view them as property but freed them because it was proven that they were taken from Africa, and the slave trade there was outlawed at that time.
