You do not need any adaptors for the Kinect to have it work with any Xbox 360 system, slim or the older types. It comes bundled with everything you will need.
The only difference between the two types of system types is that the slim allows power to be pulled from the port the kinect plugs into. The old systems need and are packaged with an additional power cable.

∙ 10y agoA large number of "Big Box" stores and smaller retail "Gaming" shops sell the Xbox 360 with Kinect. This console can be purchased at Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Target or Game Stop. It can also be purchased online through these companies websites as well as Amazon and New Egg.
