anesthesiology is a speciality in medical practice. In order to be qualified for the job you need to first finish 4 years of med school. After med school a residency in anesthesiology is needed. It is mandatory to pass license exams. anesthesiologists take special training in areas like anesthesiology research, pain management, pathophysiology and pharmacology of anesthesiology. It is also necessary to get certification from American society of anesthesiologists and American board of anesthesiology.
Complete Medical School and then training in anesthesiology.
You need to earn an M.D. degree at a medical school. Then you go on for advanced study in anesthesiology.
At least two years. Most likely 27 months or 7 semesters.
A anesthesiologist is a medical doctor (MD), not a PhD. It would take four years for the bachelor's degree and four years of medical school. There will also be three or more years to complete the internship and residency requirements.
After 4 yrs of undergrad and 4 yrs of med school, without exception, Anesthesiologists are required to do 4 yrs of residency. This includes 3 yrs in general surgical training and then another year of strictly anesthesiology. There are cases, however, of special prgrams between undergrad and med school that can allow students to take only 3 yrs of undergrad and go straight to med school from there. Also, there are sub-specialties in anesthesiology (i.e. cardiac anesthesiology, pediatric anesthesiology, etc.) that require additional yrs of practice and training. I hope this ansers your question.

YOU HAVE TO GO TO MEDICAL SCHOOL TO become an M.D. (physician). Then you specialize in ANESTHESIOLOGY from there.. ALL anesthesiologists are medical doctors.
That varies from location to location. If you check the Better Business Bureau's website, it will list which locations in which states are an accredited business through the BBB. They would not qualify as a school being accredited like a high school or college...so any accreditations they would have would be strictly business related.
You have to be old enough to have completed medical school and residency in the field.
