I found the wetness at the rear left passenger floor board, First thought maybe it is dripping from the B pillar or the center column where the rear door hinges are connected......it turn out that the floor board has hair line cracks in them, caused by bad welding and improper sealing in the factory (No rust in my car). Dealears wont pay for it. so, I sealed it by spraying can of sealant underneath. This condition only happened when I drove in the rain for a while. Hope it helped your concern.

You cannot sand and finish particle board floors with polyurethane. Particle board does not have a finish that would allow any liquid to be put on it. It would disintegrate. Particle board is not a good flooring material.
AnswerSimple, you have a leak. Suspect that it is leaking from the cowl. Check the drain for the condenser and see if it is plugged. Check for debris below the window in the channel.if you have a sunroof, sometimes the drain hose gets clogged and water will back up into the car. It can run down the inside of your A pillar and end up in the floor board. Similarly, if it happens when you run the A/C, the condensation drain hose could be clogged and backing up into the floor.
