well it depends on what kinda guy this is. if he is the "player" type, then he is probably telling his girlfriend that only because he wants and likes the attention. he might even like the fact that he has two girls that like him.
but if this guy seems more like a gentlemen, then he is most likely telling his girlfriend that just to be honest. if i were you i would stay away from guys with girlfriends, find a guy you are interested in who is single, and see how it goes.
