It is Whelan's Pub on Wexford Street in Dublin. They have remodeled since so it doesn't look quite the same, but the stage is still there!
The pub featured in the movie "P.S. I Love You" is called Whelan's, and it is located in Dublin, Ireland. It is a popular and iconic music venue in the city.
The origin of the building can be traced back to the 1720s, though it was not a pub then. In 1889 it was bought by a man called Davy Byrne and that name has been with it ever since.
Bristol is nearer to Dublin. There are no standard ferries operating between the two. You would need to go to the town of Holyhead in Wales to get a direct ferry to Dublin, or go to Fishguard and get a ferry to Ireland and then drive to Dublin.
The Shelbourne (bought by Marriott) is probably the best hotel in Dublin - http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/dubbr-the-shelbourne-dublin-a-renaissance-hotel/ I sayed there for a few night... amazing. They locals said it was the best in Dublin, as I did not know because I just booked any Marriott in Dublin.
