The development of health care in India has blown up in the past several years. It is not only affordable, but they are also reliable with continuous development. As the coronavirus disease spread across the country, it has become efficient to strengthen the healthcare system. Apart from that, India has progressed rapidly in various healthcare sectors. Be it medicines, cancer treatment, kidney transplant surgeries, etc. India has progressed significantly.

Therefore, it will not be wrong to say that India is going to become one of the top providers of healthcare. Along with that, the use of various biomedical tools has given a significant boost to this sector. It is now easier to do effective diagnostics with advanced tools. Also, difficult surgeries are now performed smoothly with the help of robots.

The spiking development in the healthcare sector is leading to the increasing demand for healthcare workers. Overall, the healthcare sector will have a major boost in the future years. The experts and innovation of new medicines are also improving the surgeries.

But, some challenges are still looked upon that India needs to overcome. They are-

  1. Low awareness about health insurance
  2. Shortage of health care workers
  3. Treatment of chronic diseases
  4. Low availability of proper healthcare infrastructure
  5. Affordability of the high costs for surgeries

The government of India, since independence, introduced several schemes to provide effective healthcare for the poor. However, due to the lack of health care workers, there are still some rural areas having less or no healthcare infrastructure. On top of that, the treatment of significant diseases such as Diabetes, kidney transplant treatment, cancer cure is very costly. That’s why they can’t afford the costs of breast surgeries and others that further lead to death.

In conclusion, there is no doubt that the healthcare system is having a strong future. But, low awareness about the benefits of health insurance programs is a major challenge. Therefore, there is still a long way to go.
