The Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) is a feature of Windows 10 and later. It allows users to run programs compiled for Linux on Windows without dual-booting or using a traditional hypervisor like VMware / VirtualBox.
There are two implementations of WSL available:
It depends on what printing subsystem you have installed. It could reasonably be "print", "lp", or "lpr"; the exact options it takes depend on what the default settings are and which subsystem you're using.
The Subsystem for UNIX-based Applications (SUA)For a UNIX or Linux client, SUA creates a multiuser environment complete with commands, case-sensitive abilities, programming tools, shells (runtime environments), and scripts. With SUA installed, even UNIX/Linux programs can be ported over to Windows Server 2008.

The Win32 subsystem is the native environment of Windows 2000. It processes all 32-bit applications. It provides text window support, shutdown, and hard-error handling for all subsystems. Applications created for Windows NT, Windows 95, and Windows 98 are also run on the Win32 subsystem.
