Actually, I'm unsure. It's been a proverbial 'month of Sundays' since I've used Windows.
Acer provided both Windows XP Professional and Windows Vista (Business and Home Premium) for this model.
Windows is the dominant operating system series created by Microsoft. It is, according to me, the best Programming operating system series above Linux. It is an easy operating system to use, if not hacked unknowingly. It usually is a better computer for many people to use according to their preferences and business. I suppose both have their advantages, and their disadvantages. Java is designed for multiple platforms; .NET is more focussed on Windows. There is, however, a "Mono" project that gives .NET certain compatibility with Linux.
