Some disadvantages of Windows Server 2003 are its age, reduced compatibility, and cost. Despite being over 10 years old, it continues to be used extensively.

An advantage of Windows 1.0 was letting the average person do their computing in the comfort of their home. Windows 1.0 had early versions of Paint, Notepad, Calculator and some other tools. Disadvantages were lack of memory management, and tiles screens.

The Windows 1.0 was the first ever commercial operating system rolled out by Microsoft in 1985. The windows 1.0 lacked storage, and was not able to run multiple operations at a single time.
The advantage is that windows let light into your house. The disadvantages include that the house can lose heat more quickly through the windows; also, that they provide an additional entry point for thieves.
CompatibilityThat's the only and biggest problem, most things are made just for windows. However, if you have Windows XP SP2 or vista, you can use built in boot camp to run windows.
There were few disadvantages. It kept too many logs and stuff like that, but that could be disabled. It just cannot use modern drivers or run modern software.
Windows series are excellent products of Microsoft. Although some technology of Windows is not as good as UNIX, they are still of the best operating systems running on PCs. Products of Linux are cheap, but they are not supported by so many kinds of software as Windows series are.
