Before the Alamo, James Bowie was primarily known as a skilled frontiersman, soldier, and pioneer. He gained fame for his role in the Texas Revolution and his reputation as a fierce fighter, particularly with his signature large knife, the Bowie knife. Additionally, Bowie was involved in land speculation and had a tumultuous personal life, including a notorious duel that contributed to his notoriety in the early 19th century. His leadership at the Alamo solidified his legacy in American history.
i really dont know sorry !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
David Crockett was a well known figure long before his death at the Alamo and James Bowie had a local and regional reputation.
The Alamo Mission in San Antonio (simply known as The Alamo) was originally known as Misión San Antonio de Valero
The only well known Alamo defender was David Crockett.
I don't understand what you mean by "before Texas arrived", but the mission San Antonio de Valero was established in Spanish Texas by Spaniards in 1718. The mission was relocated from its original location twice with its final location being within the fort that was known as The Alamo due to the cottonwood trees in the area. The mission San Antonio De Valero later became known as The Alamo, the cradle of Texas liberty. However, to put things in perspective, the mission San Antonio De Valero is not the Alamo - the Alamo is the fort wherein the mission is located.
That isn't really a question. that isnt really a question my butt
Yes
For a mission
Daniel Boone did not have any direct involvement with the Alamo. He was a frontiersman and explorer known for his exploration of Kentucky and the Wilderness Road in the 18th century, long before the famous Battle of the Alamo occurred in 1836. The Alamo, located in San Antonio, Texas, became a symbol of resistance against Mexican rule, but Boone's activities were focused in a different region and era.
While it is not known for sure, it is estimated that 185 Texian soldiers died defending the Alamo garrison.
The Alamo North Wall was improved before the war begin by the Americans. (: I guess.
Yes, the Alamo did fall but a few years after that they rebuilt it. In fact the lump it has at the top didn't use to be there. Before After
