The Bering Strait and Bering Sea lie along the west and southwest of Alaska, as well as the north of the Aleutian Islands. The Pacific Ocean borders the southern coastline of Alaska.
The Irish Sea and St Georges Channel and the North Channel and even the Celtic Sea could be said to be the bodies of water that separate the two islands.
