What is a signal transduction pathway?

A signal transduction pathway is a group of proteins that carry out transducing signals (which means it converts signals from outside the cell to a different signal inside the cell). A good example can be viewed when a hormone binds to the receptor in the plasma membrane (outside the cell), the receptor which has now been activated can now interact with intercellular proteins which produce new signals inside the cell.

In what part of the eye does transduction occur?

Transduction occurs in the cones.

Which statement best explains why the existence of multiple steps in a signal transduction pathway allows it to be regulated by several other pathways?

Multiple steps provide a series of points where cross-talk can occur

What are three steps in cell communication?

Successful cell signaling involves a sender, a signal and a receptor or receiver. There are many different ways in which cell signaling can occur, firstly; there are many different types of signals. These can be classified into two main groups, protein/ polypeptide signals and steroid based or hydrophobic signals. Protein/polypeptide signals can only bind to receptors on the plasma membrane of a cell where as steroid based or hydrophobic are able to pass through (because of their hydrophobic nature) the plasma membrane and attach to receptors within the cytoplasm or nucleus. There are many different receptors and ways that cells then continue on cell signaling but that is the basics of it. Once a signal is bound with its receptor a response occurs. It goes: sender >> signal >> reception >> transduction >> response Receptors also include ion-channel linked, and G-protien linked receptors. For the enzyme-linked(most common is receptor thyrosine kinase) the signal transduction goes through RAS, MAP kinase to different specific tartget molecules. Also, short gene expression pathways are mediated through STAT and SMAD. Smile over wrong spellings. Absolute Kevin UNCW

The carrier signal occurs at the beginning to transmit information.

Basic principle of biosensor?

basic priciple of biosensor involved in three element first biological recognization element which highly specific towards the biological material analytes produces second transducesrs detect and transduces signal from biological target -receptor molecule to electrical signal which is due to reaction occur ,third after transduction sinal from biological to electrical signal where its amplification is necessary and takes place and read out in detector after processing the values are displayed for monitor and controlling the system .

What three things do plants need for photosynthesis to occur?

The three things that plants need for photonynthesis to occur is sunlight, carbon dioxide and water.

How the errors can be occurred in digital signal?

Errors which have occurred in a digital signal are a result of a faulty transmission or a disruption in the signal itself. This can occur from a damaged wire or the equipment which generates the signal.
