Subdural haematoma
A subdural haematoma is a blood clot, which forms between the dura mater and the arachnoid mater. It is usually caused by some kind of direct blow to the head as a result of a fall, an assault or a road accident.
Things to remember
longitudinal Fissure: is what separates the left and right hemispheres
Sulci: shallow depressions or valleys in the surface of the brain
Gyri: hills or ridges in the surface of the brain
Meninges
Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF)
Cranium
If you are talking about protection from mechanical damage then you have the scalp, then the occipital muscle (doesnt do much to help though) the skull and then the three meninges.
The cerebrum, cerebellum, and brain stem. (The brain can also be divided into forebrain, midbrain, and hindbrain, but that is more about identifying areas than structures.)
The meninges cover your brain. From superficial to deep the meninges are: dura mater, arachnoid mater, and pia mater.
The skull, or the cranium

Actually there are 3 structures1.The spinal cord or spine2.The brain3.The veins {not really the main ones}.Therefore the answer is the spinal cord and the brain.
About 3
the main structures are the brain, thespinal cord, and the peripheral nerves.
The most important part of the nervous system is the central nervous system because this system is made up of the brain and the spinal cord.
BrainSpinal cordRetinaThis is somewhat of a trick question unless you are willing to accept that CNS includes brain, spinal cord and peripheral nervous system as the 3 parts. A better breakdown of CNS would include the various parts of the brain, spinal cord and and understanding that the peripheral nervous system is our general ability to perceive the world via the five senses.the central nervous system consists of the brain and the spinal cord.
