hi if you want to know 3 different ways how a plant can use their glucose cause you have come t the right place. the three different ways a plant can use its glucose are:

1. It can use glucose for respiration. This is when the plant releases it's energy.

2. Glucose that is used to make chemicals for growth.

3. Glucose that is turned into starch that is stored up for when the plant needs it like in winter.

Building --> To make larger molecules out of smaller ones. This covers making new cellulose and proteins and "growing".

Moving --> To activly transport minerals which are in low concentration in the soil into the plant. The plant has to pump these molecules into the roots as they will on average diffuse out of rather than into the plant. The plants need the minerals to make some proteins.

Saving --> Glucose is converted into starch to store in tubers over winter or in seeds for the growing embryo.

Where does sugar cane make its food?

Like all green plants, it uses photosynthesis to produce sugars such as glucose, starch or cellulose. Photosynthesis occurs in the leaves of a GREEN plant.

Can photosynthesis turn plants green?

No, photosynthesis does not turn plants green. Photosynthesis uses light to create glucose and oxygen with carbon dioxide and water. Plants are green due to the chlorophyll found inside them. It is the chlorophyll that makes photosynthesis possible.

What uses sun energy to make food for plants?

The sun's energy is transformed into glucose by the process of photosynthesis. This takes place in plants that contain chloroplasts.

Give two ways a plant uses sugar?

Glucose or sugar is produced through photosynthesis in plants. Plants use glucose to make cellulose, enzymes, and chlorophyll. Sugar is also needed by plants for respiration.

What is the name of the process that the plant uses to make glucose?

The process, or cycle, that plants use to make their own glucose is called the Calvin Cycle, also referred to as the "dark cycle."

Why do some plants not need green leaves?

The color green in plants comes from the chlorophyll it uses to make food from the energy of the sun. Some plants are not green and can make the food they need themselves using nutrients in soil and water.

What uses an outside energy source to make energy-rich compounds?

green plants

What uses the sun's energy and carbon dioxide to make glucose?

It take place in photosynthetic organisms. Examples are plants, algae etc

How does chloroplast help photosentyshes?

Chloroplasts contain Chlorophyll, which is the green pigment in plants that uses energy from the sunlight to turn Carbon Dioxide and Water into Glucose and Oxygen.Hope that helps.

What in the plant cell makes the plant green?

Glucose is not the answer. the answer is chlorophyll. chlorophyll is a pigment in the cell that uses the light from the sun to create glucose. chlorophyll is green.

What is a light-dependent process conducted by green plants but not by animals?

The light-dependant process is called 'Photosynthesis', the chlorophyll in plants absorbs sunlight and uses it in combination with carbon dioxide, to produce glucose for energy.

When plants use sunlight to make food the energy of the sunlight is?

it is called photosynthesis and the plant uses the green pigment (which makes most plants' leaves green) is called chlorophyll.
