Any electronic 4.3 can be fitted into a second generation Blazer. You could even swap in a V8 - I've seen 5.3, 5.7, and 6.0 swaps done - if you so wished, although it wouldn't be a simple "plug and play" application.
The 96 - 02 Blazers used the L35 variant of the 4.3 Vortec engine.
