Apollo 8 , with Commander Jim Lovell in 1969 .
Apollo 8
Apollo 6 was an unmanned test flight, which was not intended to reach the moon. Apollo 8 was the first to orbit the moon. Apollo 11 was the first to land on the moon.
It was the Apollo 8 spacecraft.
All three Apollo astronauts were aboard for several orbits, but Michael Collins remained aboard the command module when the Lunar Module descended to the Moon. Technically Apollo 2 was the first flight of the Apollo Missions, however i was only a test flight with no humans and never left Earths orbit. Apollo 7 was the first manned Apollo mission but they never left Earths orbit either. The first Apollo mission to actually orbit the moon was the crew of Apollo 8 (Lovell, Anders and Borman). If you mean by first Apollo flight that landed on the moon then Apollo 11 is the mission with Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins. Hard to believe I only have 6 trust points!!!
The first manned flight to the moon was on an Apollo spacecraft launched by America.
Apollo 11 was the flight that landed the first two people on the moon on July 20, 1969. The astronauts were Neil Armstrong and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin.
Apollo 8 went around the moon, but Apollo 11 landed on the moon, it was called Eagle
what did the Apollo 13 do after there trip to the moon
Apollo 13
No, there were no major incidents during the Apollo 11 moon landing mission. The mission was a success, with astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin becoming the first humans to walk on the moon while Michael Collins remained in orbit around the moon.
