the 741 op-amp ic is use in voltage comparator mode in it. it detect a small change in voltage, then it increase that signal. this signal is given to the transistor whose control the fan
This switch is the top one around the thermostat housing, If you look down beside the air filter, right beside the rad hose, on 2.3 l engine, there it is. You can unplug the wire and put a paper clip into the plug to ground out the 2 wires, fan will come on, if the fan does not come on, then look elsewhere for you problem. Check the plug near the fan.
Cooling towers are also known as an air conditioner's radiator unit. A mist cooling system are fans that have water dripping in front of them in boxed units. These are still used in some parts of the developing world in the absence of air conditioners.
The most notable fan used for both heating and cooling would probably be of the Dyson brand. They have a product called the Dyson Hot+Cold, which is a bladeless heater fan used for both cooling and heating.
If the question is about the motor fan or engine fan, the main function of this fan is cooling the radiator of the engine which in turn is cooling the water circulating inside the engine unto the radiator and back. This keeps the engine at a fairly operable temperature without overheating and damaging damaging its parts.
The first cooling fan was invented in 1882. It was invented by Schuyler Skaats Wheeler. The ceiling fan was invented in 1887 by Philip Diehl.

Either the fan is no good or the heat sensor in your radiator, that turns the fan on is not working!!
The 1996 Pontiac Grand Prix cooling fan sensor is located on the front of the engine. The fan sensor can be found just above the thermostat.
These fans work off of heat sensors. Your sensor can be failing, replace this sensor. This still does not tell where the sensor is located.
Cooling fan is always better. By:B.J
The combination heat sink and cooling fan is sometimes called a cooler.

check the cooling fan sensor somewhere attached of the fan housing.
The difference is that Passive cooling is just a heat sink that dissipates the heat into the air without the help of a fan. Active cooling is when you have a heat sink and a fan is directly blowing/sucking air thru the heat sink to cool it. The fan does not have to be on the heat sink as with some dell/gateway computers. The fan is on the plastic shroud, which in turn fits right over the heat sink. Water cooling and phase-change cooling is also considered active cooling.
The electric cooling fan or cooling fan temp sensor may be faulty.
