It depends on how serious it is and how much you weigh. If it is a mild case it will be difficult to spot. A medium case will be a bigger curve, easier to spot, and may even cause a hump. You would need a brace at this point. A large case would be a much bigger curve and would probably need surgery.

The doctors usually check your back to see if your spin curves. A small curve won't matter, but if it's about 10% or more at a young age the doctor will keep an eye on you. As you grow taller and you have a slight then it will curve more. If your back concerns the doctor you should have appointments for it.
