The Fitzroy River

The Swan River estuary flows through the city of Perth, in the south west of Western Australia.
The Darling River does not flow into an ocean. The Darling is a tributary of the Murray, and the Murray flows into the Southern Ocean. Note: There is some debate as to whether the Southern Ocean touches Australia's shores, or whether this area is still the Indian Ocean. Australian authorities claim that the ocean lies immediately to Australia's south.
It rises in the Australian Alps, draining the western side of Australia's highest mountains and, for most of its length, meanders across Australia's inland plains, forming the border between New South Wales and Victoria as it flows to the northwest, before turning south into South Australia then ends at the mouth at Lake Alexandrina.
There are two Fitzroy Rivers in Australia. The Fitzroy River in the Kimberley region of Western Australia is the longest river in Western Australia. It is around 750 kilometres long. It begins at the King Leopold and Mueller Ranges and flows into King Sound, which is just south of Derby. The Fitzroy River near Rockhampton in Queensland, is the largest river in Australia, apart from the Murray. Together with its minor tributaries, it is 745 kilometres in length, but with all its tributaries, it is 4,880 kilometres in length. Its catchment areas is 145000 square kilometres, which is almost the size of England.
There is no river that runs all the way through Western Australia.
