Apart from the novelty of climbing this magnificent feature, you would find a number of Aboriginal paintings and interesting cave forms around the base of the rock. Once you climbed the rock, you may be lucky enough to find the tiniest fish lurking in waterholes arop the Rock: they lie dormant until rain comes, and literally come to life when the sandstone depressions fill with water.

∙ 10y agoUluru also known as Ayers Rock and officially known as Uluru / Ayers Rock, can be defined as large sandstone rock formation in the southern part of the Northern Territory of Central Australia. It is locates 208 mi south west of the nearest large town, Alice Springs by road. Kata Tjuta and Uluru are the two major features of the Uluru-Kata National Park Uluru is sacred to the Anangu, the Aboriginal people of the area. The area around the formation is home to a plethora of springs, waterholes, rock caves and ancient paintings.
