The book was closed. The oath of office does not have in the constitution that The Bible must be used. It is a Custom Decree and is optional, Ted Roosevelt didn't even use a Bible. But the Presidents have believed in God so they have opted to use the Bible.
For his first inauguration in 2009, President Obama chose the passage of Abraham Lincoln's Inaugural Bible to be open at for taking his oath. The passage was from the book of Isaiah, chapter 40, verse 31: "They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
The name Obama is not found anywhere in the bible.
The last book of the Bible was completed in the year 96 C.E. The Bible does not mention Obama. Barack Obama was born in 1961.
