1 Corinthians 12 says Christians are members of the Body of Christ, and it breaks it down with the imagery of actual body parts:
If the foot should say, "Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body," is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear should say, "Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body," is it therefore not of the body? If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole werehearing, where would be the smelling? But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased. And if they were all one member, where would the body be? vv. 15-19
It depends on which version of the Bible you are reading. I don't know of any such verse in the King James version, but other translations have taken liberties with the text and may say something like that. Others have taken verses out of context and blended them together for their sermons, so you could have heard a "quote" from the Bible that is not entirely accurate.
