Sodas are carbonated, or contain carbon dioxide (CO2), which is a gas, dissolved in water. When the sodas are still in their sealed-tight containers, the gas typically does not escape. Upon opening the container, however, the carbonate gas will escape. Eventually all of the carbonation is gone, and your left with a soda that is no longer bubbly, or is now "flat".
what makes soda flat ??
Soda, flat or carbonated, is a set of compounds in solution.
No the brand of the soda does not have any affect over the speed of how fast a soda goes flat.
it's not fizzing with bubbles
Flat soda pop is homogeneous because its bubbles are gone.
soda maintains its carbonation (fizz) better at colder temperatures. This is because the cold carbonation is denser, making it sink, and the heated carbonation is less dense, so it rises and escapes from the soda. the soda becomes flat(no fizz), and nobody wants flat soda.
The same thing that causes soda to bubble when it is poured on almost anything.
Adding baking soda causes bubbling or effervescence.
yes yes
The carbon dioxide slowly comes out of it.
Yes if a carbonated soda is left out for a long time while it is open the fizz will dissolve into the air thus making the beverage flat. :)
What does aspartame have to do with soda companies now putting an expiration date on their soda ?
The bubbles in the soda may irritate your throat if you have a sickness such as strept. Although, if the soda is flat, it won't do much to your throat.
