∙ 10y agoPope Francis is a Catholic, there is no such thing as "Roman Catholic" that is a popular misnomer. When he was still a Cardinal, he was Archbishop of Buenos Aires which is the Catholic diocese, a Catholic diocese is called a "particular Church". Since being elected as Pope, his particular church is the whole world, and his cathedral is St. John Lateran in Rome.
