I just returned to Toronto from Buenos Aires, flying Air Canada via Santiago, Chile. The flying time, including stopover in Santiago, is about 14 hours and 30 minutes. But Air Canada has announced that beginning in December, 2008, it will offer direct flights to Buenos Aires. The flying time will be cut to about 12 hours, as close as I can figure it. These direct flights will operate between Dec. 1 and April 1.
