Any reputable DVD/VCR players should be able to play DivX movie format.
yes divx is very safe and is used in phones ps3s and DVD players divx plays avi format
DVDs are encoded in MPEG format. Some newer DVD players can also play WMV, DivX, and Xvid-encoded videos.
It depends upon you DVD player. If you have simple DVD player then it will play mpeg2 format which are in the .vob files and ac3 which is audio format. It should also play the mpeg1 format which is usually in .dat or called video cds. The new DVD players also support xvid or divx codecs.
Mine does avi fine and that was bought 4 years ago. I think DivX and avi files are the same format.
As the most widely used video format, MP4 format is compatible with a great variety of digital players. The reason why MP4/MPEG-4/H.264 MP4 cannot be played is because they are not coded in many DVD players and some of its successors like HD DVD players, Blu-ray disc players and 3D DVD players hence it cannot be played on many DVD players.
IF the camera records in the DVD format (DVD-R or DVD R) or another format your DVD player will recognize, like VCD's, DivX, etc., then what you need to do is open the tray on the DVD player and check to see if it has an indentation in it,about 3" in diameter. If it does, that's where 3" DVD's go. (Hint: MOST DVD players have this indentation in the tray and will play 3" DVD's just fine.)
Yes, older dvd players when there was a format war between the two may only be compatible with one or the other. The standard is now unofficially dvd-r. Most newer players support both standards now.
It will say DVD-R or DVD on your burner.
Yes
Philips Dvp520 does not support DivX format unfortunately. When you use Nero to burn movies, use the Movie function ( it will convert automatically into a format that your DVD player does support ). The only con is, you are only able to put 1 movie onto a DVD at a time ( divx would support up to 5 movies covering 700MB per movie).
Copy the downloaded movies to DVD by burning the DVD as data format. Once done, insert the DVD in the player, browse to file and play it.
